Dedicated to the past, present and future of FAI Power

What's New:

April 2008:

- update Vintage FAI Power Rules dated March 20, 2008

coming soon in May:

These new things are mostly in hand, the material itself is in it's final digital form, now it is just a matter of presentation.  A major change to my thinking about this presentation has delayed their addition to the website.  Here is what happened: As the site grew, I initially took a path to present models and pictures into groups of 10 years or decades.  This seemed to help matters a lot and break thing into managable groups.   As I was finishing up this major restructuring I realized that it made more sense to restructure the site into Vintage and Modern FAI Power sections that paralleled the rules evolution as structured into the various Eras.  I believe this  is a better path because many of the Vintage Eras overlap some of the decades.  Within these Vintage and Modern sections I will then further break things down into the Eras.  Things should be much easier to follow that way when trying to look at models from a particular Era (and set of rules)  Thanks for your patience.

- will be adding  1979 WC article written by Tom Hutchison, from Model Builder, scanned by Joe Mekina

- will be adding several scans of pics taken by the late Tom Hutchison from the early 1970's as scanned by Bob Stalick (LOTS more of Tom's picture's to follow)

- will be adding scan of Mario Rocco's 1979 WC model Bob Stalick's column in Model Builder, scanned by Joe Mekina

- will be adding 1960 and 1971 WC's power information articles from Walt Ghio

- will be adding construction articles for the Head Hunter, Hustler and Hot Head from George Gilbert

- will be adding construction articles for the Night Train MK VII, Par FAI, Sad Sam 7 from Joe Wagner

- will be adding pictures from the 1967 World Champs and 1966 Bong finals from Joe Wagner.

- will be adding World Championship Reports from 1961, 1965, 1973 and 1975 from Walt Ghio

- will be adding model gallery plans for BE-34 (Verbitski) and Hot Tamale (Buzz Averill) from Joe Wagner

- will be adding model gallery plans for Mr Spock and Nightmare from Walt Ghio

- re-vamped the Models link into a Models Gallery also into groups of 10 years.  This re-vamped format now has links to low resolution mini-plans, high resolution mini-plans, construction articles and pictures where possible.  This re-vamped format now also fits well into the Vintage and Modern FAI Power pages, so now the presentations will be consistent. As the site grows this also sets the groundwork for further organizational changes to the presentation as they become necessary.

- re-organized the Picture Gallery  into groups of 10 years (by decades).  This was necessary as the number of models has grown.
